1. Safety Smart are pleased to offer a 15% discount on all our services until September 30th 2010. 2. Safety Smart successfully undertake the role of CDM Co-ordinator on a Subway Drive Thru close to Manchester United Football Club. The project involved the construction of a single storey facility with car parking facilities. The project was completed without any accidents and with all documentation handed over on time.

3. Safety Smart have been appointed as CDM Coordinator for a refurbishment project at India Mills, Darwen. The works will involve extensive refurbishments to the existing roof and alterations to mechanical services. The project is due to start on site in September and will last approximately 16 weeks.

Construction’s non-fatal injury rate is significantly high compared to all industries

New figures published by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reveal 50,000 construction workers reported sustaining non-fatal injuries from 2022/23 to 2024/25.

Christmas trees: avoid a festive fire hazard

Artificial or real? Modern artificial trees are usually fire retardant or resistant - but do look at the packaging to check. If you have an older artificial tree, it might be time to consider replacing it.
