Government introduces new fire safety regulations 

The UK government has introduced a new bill to improve fire safety in buildings in England and Wales.

The new legislation, if passed, will amend the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to place a legal requirement on residential building owners to inspect cladding and fire doors.

£187,600 fine following 18-year-old apprentice’s life-changing injury

A manufacturing company has been fined £187,600 after the shirt of an apprentice became caught in machinery, resulting in three broken ribs and injuries requiring skin grafts.
