As a Manchester born and bred organisation, Safety Smart is delighted to welcome on board their newest and arguably their most prestigious client to date. We have been appointed by the Estates Department at the University of Manchester to develop and implement Health and Safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirement.

Our key responsibilities include:

  • the provision and implementation of a robust Health and Safety policy
  • the update and maintenance of all risk assessments
  • the development of a subcontractor code of practice
  • the development and maintenance of fire risk assessments and evacuation procedures

New figures published by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reveal 50,000 construction workers reported sustaining non-fatal injuries from 2022/23 to 2024/25.
